The Blemish

The PT 1911 I purchased has a small blemish on the right side toward the end of the slide

Anyone know how to maybe fix this (without sending it in)?

You can see the “lighter” color just under the “1911″ and goes to the bottom of the slide (through the .45 and covers the ACP).

Also, you Probably need to know I shot this pistol today and have not cleaned it yet.. I normally clean it while in the field, but today the rain was coming and decided to wait until I got home.
Also, I made the image black and white to bring out the blemish better, but doing that also brought out other things like It NEEDS cleaning.. )

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ruger SR9 Revisited

I may have given a wrong impression in my article about the Ruger SR9. The Ruger SR9 IS a good pistol, the problem was the particular one I got was the problem. I’ve been told several times that it was “probably a pre-production” model, but I never confirmed this with Ruger.

What shots I DID fire through the pistol felt Great! But, as the story goes; I traded the pistol out for another 9mm.
